Private Lessons

Improve Your Skills with Private Instruction!

So many of our students are passionate about the specialty programs they are participating in and want to further improve and develop the skills taught in their course. Private lessons are a great way to do this!

Private lessons are offered in many of our specialty subjects.  You may book AM lessons from 8:00am to 8:45am and PM lessons from 3:00pm to 3:45pm.

If your child is enrolled for a private lesson before their course, early arrival coverage is included in the cost of the private lesson on that day.

•  Lessons are offered in the subject matter of your child’s course and tailored to your child’s ability level.
•  Private lessons are only offered to students in attendance during that course week.
•  All lessons should be booked via online enrollment.  Spots are limited!

One-on-one private instruction is an excellent way for students to learn at their own pace, gain a better understanding and mastery of the skills and subject material, and enhance their experience at the program. Our instructors are friendly and supportive, and understand that every student learns at their own pace. Our private lessons are designed to be hands-on and very focused, which enables the instructor and student to concentrate on improving both strengths and weaknesses. Lessons are tailored to the specific child, and in some instances, students may use the private lessons to go above and beyond the course curriculum in an educational and informative manner with the help of the instructor. Private lessons are optional, and are within the subject matter of the course your child is attending that week.

Private lessons are limited and are booked on a first-come, first-served basis! Students have the option to purchase more than one private lesson per week, and each lesson builds upon the progress made in the course and in previous lessons.

In addition to being a great supplement to the course week, private lessons are convenient! Lessons occur either before the course (during Early Arrival) or immediately after the course.

Private lessons can be booked when enrolling, or by contacting our office via email at Info@lavnereducation.com or by calling one of our educational specialists at 888.854.2267. If you already enrolled and want to add lessons, you can log back into your account and add them at any time, subject to availability.

*The purchase of private lessons is considered program tuition and falls under the terms & conditions provided on www.lavnereducation.com.

Frequently Asked Questions

Our families ask us many great questions about our summer programs.  Below are a list of questions that are frequently asked.  If you have a question that is not listed, please send it our way!

Question #1:  How much time do students spend with their course?

Answer:  Students will spend approximately 22.5-25 hours/week in their chosen course.

Question #2:  What are your staff to student ratios?

Answer:  We offer a staff-to-camper ratio of approximately 1:4 to 1:8!  We strive to create an environment where students receive excellent supervision and high levels of attention during instructional periods.

Question #3:  Who are your instructors?

Answer:  Our instructors are the very best out of a large pool of qualified applicants we consider. We hire less than 3% of applicants. Typically, our lead instructors consist of teachers, college professors, undergrad/grad students from top-tier/Ivy League colleges/universities, and the occasional superstar student entering college in the fall. Assistant instructors typically consist of accomplished rising seniors. Our instructors are extremely knowledgeable in the subject area, passionate about working with kids, highly responsible, and all have cleared background checks. Instructors go through a rigorous orientation and training prior to the summer season and have constant support from on-site directors and our central office. We put them in a position to succeed… and they do!

Question #4:  Do you have an on-site director?

Answer:  Yes!  At least one on-site director manages Tech Revolution at each location. The director is trained to make sure that daily operations are running smoothly, and is also CPR Certified & First Aid trained. Our director is available on site to answer your questions, and is available by phone and email if you need to communicate with him/her during the day.

Question #5:  Do students usually attend for one week or more than one week?

Answer:  Student attendance varies.  Most students attend for multiple weeks, and can move up in curriculum if selecting the same course for more than one week.  All of our courses have multiple levels of curriculum and lots of additional activities and projects for all skill levels.

Question #6:  How do you group the students in the course?

Answer: Children are grouped by age and ability. We run multiple levels of curriculum in each course, allowing for children to attend courses with us at any time during the summer, even if they are beginners. Our students can sign up for any week and be placed appropriately in their course. This provides our families with maximum flexibility.

Question #7:  Do students improve in the program?

Answer:  Yes! Students receive approximately 22.5-25 hours of concentrated time in their course activity per week. This, combined with our cutting-edge curriculum and high level instructors, allows our students to improve a lot! They are also attending with other children who share similar interests, which fosters learning through peer to peer interaction.

Question #8:  How do you keep the program fun?

Answer:  We hire fun and dynamic instructors! Students are also selecting subjects that interests them. Numerous breaks are also incorporated throughout the day with opportunities for recreation and socialization. We offer a great balance of indoor and outdoor time, to make sure our students have a chance to get fresh air, socialize, and play fun sports and games!

Question #9:  How do you create a safe program environment?

Answer: Safety is our #1 goal. We work hard all year long to make sure our program safety is top notch. We follow extensive guidelines, hire very responsible staff and train them in our procedures and best practices, employ procedures that promote safety and supervision, and are in constant communication. We also implement a behavioral policy that is strict but fair and requires that all students exude good behavior, do not engage in bullying, and contribute to a safe and welcoming environment. Your child is our #1 priority, which means that the safety of our students is our first concern.

Question #10:  Why should we choose Tech Revolution?
