3D Innovation & Design with Minecraft™ Camp

Ages 7-12

Camp Locations

2022 Minecraft Camps in Los Angeles CA, San Francisco CA, Berkeley CA, Manhattan NYC, Long Island NY, Miami FL, Cambridge MA, Baltimore MD, Washington D.C., Ann Arbor MI, Houston TX, Denver CO, Atlanta GA & Seattle WA at Camp Tech Revolution!

The Ultimate Minecraft Camp.

Exciting New Curricula, Projects & Tournaments for 2022.  Collaborate with your teammates and get your Minecraft skills to the max.

3D Minecraft Camp is for beginner, intermediate, and advanced campers with separate curricula for all three levels. Campers may attend one week or multiple weeks, and move up in curricula each week!

At Minecraft™ Camp, utilize your creativity, learn and improve your skills, and work individually or collaboratively in an exclusive virtual world on our private servers.

In addition to designing and building, we take camper experience to the next level by teaching lessons in:

• Installing and using mods
• Survival & scratch crafting recipes
• Using redstone & electrical circuits
• Game design and minigames
• Working with multiplayer servers
• Competition skills in weekly Minecraft™ tournaments!

Our private servers allow campers to work together on projects, creating a fun and dynamic group environment.

Using Minecraft™ as a learning tool, campers customize and create their own epic worlds and explore the benefits and challenges of Minecraft’s various biomes. Campers also use a selection of blocks and resources to mine and craft projects like zoos, famous monuments, princess’ towers and dragon lairs, flying cities, train stations, spy hideouts with secret entrances, bakeries, ancient ruins, alien colonies, wild west towns, and structures of their own choosing! Campers can navigate through their worlds using train systems, trapdoors, tunnels, and waterways. Teleportation is also an option!

Campers may choose to work with other campers or on their own, but group participation is highly encouraged. While working in Lavner Camps’ private servers, campers assume different roles such as builder, architect, resource gatherer, electrical engineer, protector, team leader. Campers may also decide to build individually and connect their structures with the rest of the team at a later stage of the project.

On Fridays campers participate in weekly tournaments! The excitement is off the charts!

This camp is open to campers of all levels.  Campers are grouped based upon age, ability, and group requests which can be made prior to camp.

Minecraft accounts will be provided for all campers, however campers may use their own Minecraft™ Java Edition account if they would like.

Campers may register for one week or multiple weeks, with new projects and challenges each week!

*We are one of the World’s Leading Minecraft Camps but independent from Minecraft.net, Mojang, AB., and/or Microsoft.

*The functionality of our servers for multiplayer use is dependent upon internet connectivity. Our servers have successfully undergone testing prior to the summer at each location. Although rare, during camp, it is possible that external factors may cause an interruption in connectivity. If this occurs, campers will work on projects in single player mode and/or engage in other Minecraft™ learning experiences while connectivity is being restored. Rest assured, there are many Minecraft™ activities that supplement learning and are super fun!

Valuable Learning Opportunities

Building & Engineering

Campers learn how to design and construct projects throughout camp. Some important concepts include: building to scale, planning and mapping, choosing a palette and materials, and designing with shape and form in mind.

Learn How To Install Mods

Demonstrations using our step-by-step tutorial take place during camp and teach you the ins and outs of this exciting feature. Typically, we conduct one main lesson and an additional review period later in the week. Mods add tremendously to the creativity since campers can modify their player, tools, scenery, structures, interactions and much more! What’s even more exciting… all NEW mods for 2022!

Survival & Scratch Crafting Recipes

Improve skills in survival mode and learn how to craft items that will help you survive, sustain, and prosper! Survival worlds vary based upon your level of experience.

New Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced Redstone projects are available.

Game Design & Mini-Games

Depending on experience level, campers may learn how to create a variety of fun and exciting mini-games within their Minecraft world. Your games can even be used in the Friday tournament!

MultiPlayer Servers

Campers work on multiplayer servers at camp and collaborate with other team members while working in the same world, at the same time! Our servers are private lavner servers ensuring a safe and fun environment!

Friday Tournament Competitions

One of the highlights of camp! Celebrate the week and test out your skills competing in a variety of fun events. Campers can play mini-games they made throughout the week, or our pre-made Lavner Camps games!

Private Lessons

Improve Your Skills with Private Instruction!

So many of our campers are passionate about the specialty programs they are participating in and want to further improve and develop the skills taught in camp. Private lessons are a great way to do this!

Private lessons are offered in many of our specialty subjects.  You may book an AM lesson from 8:00am to 8:45am and a PM lesson from 3:30pm to 4:15pm or 3:30pm to 5:00pm.

If your child is enrolled for a private lesson before camp, early arrival coverage is included in the cost of the private lesson on that day.

•  Lessons are offered in the subject matter of your child’s camp and tailored to your child’s ability level.
•  Private lessons are only offered to campers in attendance during that camp week.
•  All lessons should be booked via online enrollment.  Spots are limited!

One-on-one private instruction is an excellent way for campers to learn at their own pace, gain a better understanding and mastery of the skills and subject material, and enhance their experience at camp. Our instructors are friendly and supportive, and understand that every camper learns at their own pace. Our private lessons are designed to be hands-on and very focused, which enables the instructor and camper to concentrate on improving both strengths and weaknesses. Lessons are tailored to the specific camper, and in some instances, campers may use the private lessons to go above and beyond the camp curriculum in an educational and informative manner with the help of the instructor. Private lessons are optional, and are within the subject matter of the camp your child is attending that week.

Private lessons are limited and are booked on a first-come, first-served basis! Campers have the option to purchase more than one private lesson per week, and each lesson builds upon the progress made at camp and in previous lessons.

In addition to being a great supplement to the camp week, private lessons are convenient! Lessons occur either before camp (during Early Arrival) or immediately after camp.

Private lessons can be booked when enrolling for camp, or by contacting our office via email at [email protected] or by calling one of our camp specialists at 888.854.CAMP (2267). If you already enrolled and want to add lessons, you can log back into your account and add them at any time, subject to availability.

*The purchase of private lessons is considered camp tuition and falls under the terms & conditions provided on www.lavnercampsandprograms.com.

Frequently Asked Questions

Our camp families ask us many great questions about our summer camps.  Below are a list of questions that are frequently asked.  If you have a question that is not listed, please send it our way!

Question #1:  How much time do campers spend with their course?

Answer:  Campers will spend approximately 22.5-25 hours/week in their chosen course.

Question #2:  What are your staff to camper ratios?

Answer:  We guarantee a max staff-to-camper ratio of 1:4 to 1:8… or better!  We strive to create a camp environment where campers receive excellent supervision and high levels of attention during instructional periods.

Question #3:  Who are your instructors?

Answer:  Our instructors are the very best out of a large pool of qualified applicants we consider. We hire less than 3% of applicants. Typically, our lead instructors consist of teachers, college professors, undergrad/grad students from top-tier/Ivy League colleges/universities, and the occasional superstar student entering college in the fall. Assistant instructors typically consist of accomplished rising seniors. Our instructors are extremely knowledgeable in the subject area, passionate about working with kids, highly responsible, and all have cleared background checks. Instructors go through a rigorous orientation and training prior to the summer camp season and have constant support from on-site camp directors and our central office. We put them in a position to succeed… and they do!

Question #4:  Do you have an on-site camp director?

Answer:  Yes!  At least one on-site camp director manages Tech Revolution at each location. The director is trained to make sure that daily operations at camp are running smoothly, and is also CPR Certified & First Aid trained. Our camp director is available on site to answer your questions, and is available by phone and email if you need to communicate with him/her during the day.

Question #5:  Do campers usually attend for one week or more than one week?

Answer:  Camper attendance varies.  Most campers attend for multiple weeks, and can move up in curriculum if selecting the same course for more than one week.  All of our courses have multiple levels of curriculum and lots of additional activities and projects for all skill levels.

Question #6:  How do you group the campers at camp?

Answer: Campers are grouped by age and ability. We run multiple levels of curriculum in each camp, allowing for campers to attend camp with us at any time during the summer, even if they are beginners. Our campers can sign up for any week and be placed appropriately in camp. This provides our camp families with maximum flexibility.

Question #7:  Do campers improve at camp?

Answer:  Yes! Campers receive approximately 22.5-25 hours of concentrated time in their camp activity per week. This, combined with our cutting-edge curriculum and high level instructors, allows our campers to improve a lot! They are also attending with other campers who share similar interests, which fosters learning through peer to peer interaction.

Question #8:  How do you keep camp fun?

Answer:  We hire fun and dynamic instructors! Campers are also selecting subjects that interests them. Numerous breaks are also incorporated throughout the day with opportunities for recreation and socialization. We offer a great balance of indoor and outdoor time, to make sure our campers have a chance to get fresh air, socialize, and play fun sports and games!

Question #9:  How do you create a safe camp environment?

Answer:  Camp safety is our #1 goal. We work hard all year to make sure our camp safety is top notch. Camp Tech Revolution is operated by Lavner Education, the leading specialty camp provider in the United States. Lavner Education is accredited by the American Camp Association (which has hundreds of guidelines for accreditation) in PA and NJ, and carries its standards to other states. We hire responsible staff and train them (including a written test of our detailed handbook/procedures), employ procedures that promote safety and supervision, and are in constant communication. For Covid-19 protocol, please visit our Covid-19 Resource Page.

Question #10:  Why should we choose Camp Tech Revolution?
