Code Something Awesome at Tech Revolution.
This is your chance to build your very own project from the ground up and expand your coding repertoire.
At Tech Revolution, enroll in a computer programming camp focused on C++, one of the most extensively used programming languages ever created. C++ is used everywhere from video game engines and video editing software, to operating systems and office applications. Huge companies like Google, Facebook, Youtube, and Amazon all make use of C++ in their back-end systems.
Learn about loops, functions, objects, and programming logic – all of which are concepts that are shared across all Object Oriented Programming Languages such as Java and Python. So what makes C++ special?
In addition to learning general programming concepts, you’ll also discover…
Memory management using pointers, compilers, linkers, and loaders, platform specific compiling, size of data types, and much more!
During the camp week, create at least one mini project and one main project.
So, what are the project options at camp?
Mini Projects include a personal assistant app to manage your schedule, a funny name generator, an encrypted notebook, or a secret language app.
Main Camp Projects include a Choose your own adventure game, a snake game, a pong game, or one of countless others!
By the end of the session, campers improve their skills in C++, gain a better understanding of computer languages as a whole and leave camp with impressive projects!
Learning C++ gives our campers a leg up in the tech world and a better understanding of how many programs work from the backend.
C++ has a very large database with support from professional coders and developers throughout the world. Lots of software being used today involves C++, partly or entirely. So, you will never run out of choices or worry about what to do with your C++ skills once you start learning it.
What comes with its long history is a large database of tool sets and customization across many popular platforms. The C++ knowledge base is vast and many questions that arise about C++ are easily answered.
When you learn C++, you don’t just learn programming, you learn things like how computers store variables in memory and the process of turning your code into a runnable program. Gain insight into how computers function!
C++ has been used to program things you use all the time like the Windows operating system, Microsoft Office, Google, and Adobe Photoshop. Even the Java Virtual Machine (that Java programs run on) is written in C++!
A mastery in C++ requires lots of patience and self-discipline. As you learn how to code in C++ at camp, you learn to adjust yourself to the mindset of professional programmers and thinkers. However, this is camp, and there are always plenty of opportunities for socialization and fun!
C++ incorporates best practices in using object oriented programming. As you code in C++, you gain skills in this area which are transferable to other programming languages like Python and Java™!

So many of our campers are passionate about the specialty programs they are participating in and want to further improve and develop the skills taught in camp. Private lessons are a great way to do this!
Private lessons are offered in many of our specialty subjects. You may book AM lessons from 8:00am to 8:45am and PM lessons from 3:15pm to 4:00pm.
If your child is enrolled for a private lesson before camp, early arrival coverage is included in the cost of the private lesson on that day.
• Lessons are offered in the subject matter of your child’s camp and tailored to your child’s ability level.
• Private lessons are only offered to campers in attendance during that camp week.
• All lessons should be booked via online enrollment. Spots are limited!
One-on-one private instruction is an excellent way for campers to learn at their own pace, gain a better understanding and mastery of the skills and subject material, and enhance their experience at camp. Our instructors are friendly and supportive, and understand that every camper learns at their own pace. Our private lessons are designed to be hands-on and very focused, which enables the instructor and camper to concentrate on improving both strengths and weaknesses. Lessons are tailored to the specific camper, and in some instances, campers may use the private lessons to go above and beyond the camp curriculum in an educational and informative manner with the help of the instructor. Private lessons are optional, and are within the subject matter of the camp your child is attending that week.
Private lessons are limited and are booked on a first-come, first-served basis! Campers have the option to purchase more than one private lesson per week, and each lesson builds upon the progress made at camp and in previous lessons.
In addition to being a great supplement to the camp week, private lessons are convenient! Lessons occur either before camp (during Early Arrival) or immediately after camp.
Private lessons can be booked when enrolling for camp, or by contacting our office via email at Info@lavnercamps.com or by calling one of our camp specialists at 888.854.CAMP (2267). If you already enrolled and want to add lessons, you can log back into your account and add them at any time, subject to availability.
*The purchase of private lessons is considered camp tuition and falls under the terms & conditions provided on www.lavnercampsandprograms.com.
Tech Revolution Camp Communique provide you with important “Need To Know” information about your camp and location. Some information included in camp communique are: Arrival/Departure information, what to bring to camp, campus maps and directions, and more…
Links to Summer 2023 Camp Communique will be posted as they become available in Spring 2023, and sent via email to all registered families!
Our camp families ask us many great questions about our summer camps. Below are a list of questions that are frequently asked. If you have a question that is not listed, please send it our way!
Question #1: How much time do campers spend with their course?
Answer: Campers will spend approximately 22.5-25 hours/week in their chosen course.
Question #2: What are your staff to camper ratios?
Answer: We guarantee a max staff-to-camper ratio of 1:4 to 1:8… or better! We strive to create a camp environment where campers receive excellent supervision and high levels of attention during instructional periods.
Question #3: Who are your instructors?
Answer: Our instructors are the very best out of a large pool of qualified applicants we consider. We hire less than 3% of applicants. Typically, our lead instructors consist of teachers, college professors, undergrad/grad students from top-tier/Ivy League colleges/universities, and the occasional superstar student entering college in the fall. Assistant instructors typically consist of accomplished rising seniors. Our instructors are extremely knowledgeable in the subject area, passionate about working with kids, highly responsible, and all have cleared background checks. Instructors go through a rigorous orientation and training prior to the summer camp season and have constant support from on-site camp directors and our central office. We put them in a position to succeed… and they do!
Question #4: Do you have an on-site camp director?
Answer: Yes! At least one on-site camp director manages Tech Revolution at each location. The director is trained to make sure that daily operations at camp are running smoothly, and is also CPR Certified & First Aid trained. Our camp director is available on site to answer your questions, and is available by phone and email if you need to communicate with him/her during the day.
Question #5: Do campers usually attend for one week or more than one week?
Answer: Camper attendance varies. Most campers attend for multiple weeks, and can move up in curriculum if selecting the same course for more than one week. All of our courses have multiple levels of curriculum and lots of additional activities and projects for all skill levels.
Question #6: How do you group the campers at camp?
Answer: Campers are grouped by age and ability. We run multiple levels of curriculum in each camp, allowing for campers to attend camp with us at any time during the summer, even if they are beginners. Our campers can sign up for any week and be placed appropriately in camp. This provides our camp families with maximum flexibility.
Question #7: Do campers improve at camp?
Answer: Yes! Campers receive approximately 22.5-25 hours of concentrated time in their camp activity per week. This, combined with our cutting-edge curriculum and high level instructors, allows our campers to improve a lot! They are also attending with other campers who share similar interests, which fosters learning through peer to peer interaction.
Question #8: How do you keep camp fun?
Answer: We hire fun and dynamic instructors! Campers are also selecting subjects that interests them. Numerous breaks are also incorporated throughout the day with opportunities for recreation and socialization. We offer a great balance of indoor and outdoor time, to make sure our campers have a chance to get fresh air, socialize, and play fun sports and games!
Question #9: How do you create a safe camp environment?
Answer: Camp safety is our #1 goal. We work hard all year to make sure our camp safety is top notch. Camp Tech Revolution is operated by Lavner Education, the leading specialty camp provider in the United States. Lavner Education is accredited by the American Camp Association (which has hundreds of guidelines for accreditation) in PA and NJ, and carries its standards to other states. We hire responsible staff and train them (including a written test of our detailed handbook/procedures), employ procedures that promote safety and supervision, and are in constant communication. For Covid-19 protocol, please visit our Covid-19 Resource Page.
Question #10: Why should we choose Camp Tech Revolution?
