C++ is used everywhere from video game engines and video editing software, to operating systems and office applications. Engineers at companies like Google, Facebook, YouTube®, and Amazon all make use of C++ in their back-end systems, and now you can too!

Valuable Learning Opportunities include utilizing loops, functions, objects, and conditionals; printing text onto the computer screen; receiving input from the user; and working with graphics. Students also learn core principles of programming including memory management and object-oriented programming concepts.

*No prior programming experience is required, but previous background in Scratch or another programming language and a basic understanding of Algebra is encouraged.

In-Person Course (Seattle STEM Center): Devices will be provided.

Virtual Course Best User Experience: Our courses require a stable internet connection. Students may also want to use headphones if their device is not located in a quiet space. You may want your child to use a virtual background when logged into Zoom if you would like to block out the view of your child’s actual background – this is compatible with a wide variety of computers.
