Camp Rules & Policies

CAMP RULES:

Our counselors review our camp rules with our campers at the beginning of each camp week.  This is to ensure a safe, positive, and happy camp environment.

BEHAVIORAL POLICY:

*Lavner Camps emphasizes a safe, fun, and healthy camp environment that foster learning and friendship, and appropriate camp behavior is essential to a great overall experience for everyone involved.  It is imperative that every camper feels included, safe, and part of our camp community.

Lavner Camps reserves the absolute right to dismiss a camper without refund for any behavior deemed by Lavner Camps that (1) threatens or endangers the welfare and/or the safety of any camper, instructor, or any other person involved with the camp, (2) is disruptive to the overall camp environment, which interferes with the beneficial use and enjoyment by campers and staff, or (3) for any form of bullying of other campers or disrespectful behavior to camp authority.

CAMPER ELECTRONIC DEVICE POLICY:

Campers are not permitted to use cell phones, personal computers, or any other electronic devices that connect to the internet while at camp except for camp owned computers used for camp purposes.  “While at camp” pertains to all times that a camper is on location at camp.   If you would like to get in touch with your child during the camp day, please contact our onsite camp director.  The onsite camp director’s contact information (name, phone, and email) will be placed on the Dry Erase board at the sign in location.  During the camp week, you may also contact our central office ([email protected] or (610) 664-8800 to obtain the contact information for the onsite director.  Additionally, if your child would like to contact you during the camp day, he/she may contact you through the camp director or camp instructor.

PERSONAL PROPERTY POLICY:

Campers may bring personal items/equipment to camp, but Lavner Camps is not responsible or liable for any personal items/equipment that is lost, stolen, left behind, or broken.

“LOST AND FOUND” POLICY:

Lavner Camps is not responsible or liable for any personal items/equipment that is left behind at camp. All “Lost and Found” items/equipment will be held at camp until the last day of camp. All “Lost and Found” items/equipment that are not picked up at camp by the last day of camp will be discarded.

NUT-AWARE CAMP:

For the safety of our campers, we are a Nut-Aware camp. Please do not send any nut products to camp with your child.  While we are a “Nut-Aware” camp, we cannot guarantee a nut-free environment.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

Cancellation on or before March 3, 2017: If you need to cancel your child’s enrollment, you must notify us in writing via email to [email protected] by March 3, 2017 in order to receive a partial refund of your camp payment.  Cancellations on or before March 3, 2017 will result in a partial refund of 90% of camp tuition paid.

Cancellation after March 3, 2017: All tuition payments for camp are non-refundable after March 3, 2017 regardless of any reason for cancellation or “no show.”  Camp payments include all payments toward camp including but not limited to regular camp hours, early arrival, extended day, private lessons, and lunch.  Lavner Camps does not provide “make-up” days for missed days of camp or lessons regardless of reason.

CHANGE OF CAMP SCHEDULE:

Changing Camp Schedule on or before May 1, 2017: If you wish to change your child’s camp week(s) and submit your request on or before May 1, 2017, Lavner Camps will accommodate this change at no charge, however the new camp dates requested are subject to availability.  We do our best to accommodate all requests.

Changing Camp Schedule after May 1, 2017: If you wish to change your child’s camp schedule and your request is made after May 1, 2017 there is a $25.00 change fee for each camp change week requested (per child), and placement into a new camp week(s) is subject to availability.

A change of camp week pertains to either a change of dates, change of camp, or change of location.

Change of Camp Week requests must be made directly to our year-round office by email only – Please email the change of week requests to [email protected]

A Change of Week must be made by the Tuesday (5:00pm) prior to the upcoming camp week to be granted.

Change of weeks can only be made within the same summer (a camp week in Summer 2017 can only be changed to another camp week in 2017.)

NEW AND AMENDED CAMP POLICIES:
